The NEMO’s original classification status has expired and will require a reclassification survey. Although the submersible has not been used since commissioning, several preventative maintenance items are required.
All work can be completed by the original manufacturer, U-Boat Worx.
The cost for these services is included in the advertised asking price, based on the work being carried out by factory technicians in Los Angeles, where the NEMO is currently stored.
Depending on the buyer’s preference, the submersible can also be shipped to the U-Boat Worx facility in the Netherlands, or serviced at another approved location.
As part of the delivery process, a series of test dives and new sea trials will be conducted. From the time of purchase, and depending on the buyer’s specific requirements, we recommend allowing approximately 3–4 months for scheduling, servicing, and preparation before the NEMO is ready for full operation.
